Katya Sorokko Spencer was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a first generation American and the daughter of Serge Sorokko, an acclaimed art dealer, publisher and art gallery owner. Katya has a passion for acting that started at the young age of 8 at American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T).

She continued her extensive theatrical training and stage work throughout her high school years in Boston MA, receiving numerous awards and accolades from her professors. She continued on her acting path at the University of Denver, debuting her first professional performance in the Vagina Monologues and spending her summers working as a production and casting assistant for  MTV, Clear Channel and Bunim/Murry Productions. 

After graduating from the University of Denver with a BA in Communications and a minor in Psychology, Katya took a hiatus from her acting career to lead Public Relations and Marketing for the global luxury brand RH, Restoration Hardware, where she served as an executive leader and Vice President for over a decade.

Katya has returned to her true calling, jumping right back into the entrainment scene with a focus on Film, TV and Commercial work. With a passion to learn, grow and continue honing her craft, she has trained at acclaimed acting studios such as the Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute, Pearlman Acting Academy, and The Groundlings in Los Angeles. To date, Katya has been featured in national commercials, short films and TV pilots.
